About Shawn.
Robert Waldinger’s key message from the Harvard Study of Adult Development is that “good relationships keep us happier, healthier, and help us live longer.” I am here to help you have a better relationship with yourself and others.
It seems like being a teen or young adult in today’s world is more complicated. The essence of my practice is to help this generation in 3 distinct ways.
- Social Skills: working on what it takes to develop deeper relationships and a stronger sense of belonging
- Emotional Literacy: develop increased attunement to one’s needs and feelings, increase self-awareness, empathy, and articulation
- Independent Living Skills: learning the language of discipline, sacrifice, delayed gratification, and higher-level executive function to empower young people to move out and into the world with confidence and competence
